TESTIMONY
My name is Gedeon Haba, and I am from Guinea. I was once a gangster. I was involved in counterfeiting, I worshiped idols, and I lived in fornication. In our village, I had four girlfriends at the same time.
In 2017, when I was 20 years old, something happened to me that changed my life forever. A church leader from the Baptist Church came to my house and preached the Gospel to me. It was strange to me because I had never really heard about Jesus.
I began asking myself, “Who is this Jesus?” Then I said in my heart, “Let me go and try this Jesus they are talking about.” Forgetting that Jesus Christ is not someone whom we can try to leave. I accepted Jesus Christ, and we prayed together (with the church leader).
Before that, when I lived in Ivory Coast, I had followed Islam because my parents had converted there. However, when I returned to Guinea, I started living in sin and doing evil things.
When the church leader came to my house (as I have mentioned), he preached Jesus to me. He told me that if I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior, I would live a better life and have eternal life as well. I decided to give my life to Jesus that day. We prayed together, and that was the beginning of my new life.
Later, I moved to a town called Lola for my studies. There, I met a pastor from the Baptist Church who continued to disciple me. I attended baptism class, and in 2018, I was baptized.
By the grace of God, I am now a church leader at MIFAC Church and a Sunday school teacher.
Today, I praise Jesus Christ because He has set me free. I have abandoned those evil things, and I am now living a new and better life with my family.
To God be the glory!
